《地球最後的夜晚》是導演畢贛繼《路邊野餐》之後的話題之作，如夢似幻，真假莫辨。特別之處是一段長達60分鐘的3D長鏡頭，令人難忘。台前幕後陣容強勁卻拍出一齣評價兩極的電影，有人認為「超哂班」，有人覺得「扮哂嘢」，是龍是蛇也許因觀眾而異。看這電影的另類趣味是挑戰耐性，考驗理解能力，測試會不會睡覺，還有事後如何向朋友吹噓。全片充滿絕望與傷感，如果喜歡沉溺其中，一定可以找到意想不到的樂趣。湯唯的演出令很多男觀眾保持清醒，功不可沒。
